Server Description
The AS3083-R800 AMD Dual Opteron Server is a dual processor 3U rack mount server and provides a cost effective solution for primary servers, web servers, database applications and server clustering and are ideal for those requiring a combination of high performance and density in their rack mount servers. It can support dual AMD Opteron 64-bit single and dual core processors. Up to 64GB RAM can be housed in the 8 memory slots, dual Gigabit network ports and on-board graphics come as standard. The AS3083-R800 can have up to eight SATA/SAS hard disk drives and has an on-board RAID controller supporting RAID 0, 1 & 0+1.

IPMI Remote Management
IPMI operates independently of the operating system and allows administrators to manage a system remotely even in the absence of the operating system or the system management software, or even if the monitored system is not powered on. IPMI can also function when the operating system has started, and offers enhanced features when used with the system management software.

IPMI can send out alerts via a direct serial connection, a local area network (LAN) or a serial over LAN (SOL) connection to a remote client. System administrators can then use IPMI messaging to query platform status, to review hardware logs, or to issue other requests from a remote console through the same connections. The standard also defines an alerting mechanism for the system to send a simple network management protocol (SNMP) platform event trap (PET).
System Drivers
We pride ourselves on our Servers having more drivers available than most other Leading Branded Servers. Drivers are available for Microsoft Windows XP, Vista & all Microsoft Windows Server Editions, Drivers are also available for most versions of Linux. Please check with your sales representative for any specific requirements. Most of our AMD Dual Opteron 3U rackmount server are also certified by vmware and citrix for virtualisation.
Delivery, Configuration & Testing
Delivery, configuration and testing of your AMD Dual Opteron 3U rackmount server will normally be between 5 to 7 working days from receipt of order, please contact your sales representative if you have any special delivery, configuration or testing requests for your AMD Dual Opteron 3U rackmount server.
