3D Render Node / Rendering Workstations
Creating an image (normally a digital image) by computer programs from a model is Rendering. The rendered image will contain various aspects including, shading, lighting, geometry and texture. Rendering also describes the process of editing film to generate the final video. Typical render applications include special effects for TV, film or movie, simulators, video games, 3D applications such as 3D Architectural Rendering.
Render Nodes
Broadberry Data Systems design Render Nodes and Render Boxes around the varying needs of customers. Broadberry 3D Render Nodes can accommodate Single or Dual Intel Xeon processors or even, Single, Dual or Quad AMD Opteron processors enabling you to increase throughput and reduce rendering times while also considering what fits into your budget. All Broadberry Render Nodes can be configured as you require and can have a choice of major components including processors, memory, hard drives and optical drives and they are all available in either the industry standard 1U rackmount 19" chassis or in a floor standing chassis.
Why use a Render Node?
Render Nodes will help reduce project times, improve workflow and increase throughput by off loading the rendering process from the Workstation to the Render Nodes. Whether your business needs 2 or 200 processors dedicated to 3D rendering, Broadberry Render Nodes deliver you a proven solution to meet your rendering needs.
How do Render Nodes Work?
Each Render Node is connected to your business network via an on board Ethernet connection. Once the render node is configured to your network, 3rd party rendering manager software can be installed to manage the individual render nodes. This process is called network or distributed rendering. The 3rd party render managing software will allocate the frames to be rendered to the render nodes (usually referred to as a Render Farm) and continually disperse the frames until all frames are rendered. Upon completion, the render nodes will sit idle until the render managing software sends it additional frames to be rendered.Do I choose Render Nodes with Single, Dual or Quad Processors?
Broadberry Render Nodes have the choice of Intel XEON or AMD Opteron processors in single, dual or quad processor - and single or dual core - configurations which provides you with the flexibility and the scalability to meet project requirements while also considering what fits into your budget. Broadberry Render Nodes can also be configured for cool and quiet operation in an office environment in our floor standing render nodes. What Operating System do I use on Render Nodes?
Broadberry Render Nodes have a choice and can all be configured with a separate operating system running Windows XP or LINUX.More Information
