Front I/O Ports Servers

Server with Front IO ports allow for easy access to the servers USB, Network, parallel and other I/O ports once installed in a rack. Front I/O Ports are a very desirable feature if the rack mount server is going to be housed in a data-center or rack mount cabinet, where the back of the server will not be easily accessible. The most common benefit of front I/O ports is that USB keyboards and mice can be easily connected for maintenance of the server.

Front Access IO ports also means that any PCI Card that is installed will be accessable from the front of the server instead of the rear in all cases.

The Design of the Server is almost back to front, as though the system has been designed the wrong way around. but this can benefit alot of customer that need easy access to the rear I/O Ports.

It is usually quite awkward to get aroung to the back of a Server, especially when it is installed in a rackmount cabinet. This design makes access very easy.

Hot Swap Hard drive bays are also available either at the front or rear dependin on the model.

Some markets where front I/O ports are useful :

• Vehicles Server Installations : access to the rear is almost impossible. Buses, Vans & Yahts can have servers installed where space is limited and specialy I/O ports are required to carry out specialst jobs. Front Access I/O ports is Ideal.
• Video & Music Production : IO Ports are frequently accessed for touring production facilities and cables need to be plugged in and out as easily as possible. Front I/O Access is ideal.
