Broadberry i3, i5 and i7 workstations are built on the next generation 64-bit multi-core desktop processors using 22-nanometer technology. Ivy Bridge CPUs include significant improvements, most notably the switch to a 22nm production process and the introduction tri-gate transistors.

These workstations are divided from entry-level (i3), through mid-range (i5) to high-end performance (i7).

Intel has also improved the Turbo Boost Technology. With this technology together with Hyper-Threading, substantial performance increases can be achieved on both multi-threaded and single threaded workloads. DDR3 memory support has been significantly improved, and while the chipset still uses dual-channel DDR3, memory of up to 1600MHz is now officially supported.

Updated Intel HD graphics now supports DirectX 11, OpenGL 3.1, and OpenCL 1.1 support. Significant advances in visual and 3-D graphics capability also include Multiple 4K video playback.
